DGND3700v2 gets very hot & disconnects
I noticed that another thread mentioned that his DGN3700 had died, but was lukewarm, not hot. Now mine gets VERY hot underneath the base, and also loses the DNS & Internet connection intermittently. Can anyone tell me whether the device should get so hot -- almost too hot to touch -- or have I been sold a pup -- it's brand new! 😞

Same for me. Smoking hot. To the point where I am not keeping it. Doesn't feel safe.

Hello jlc12
The modem might be warm to the touch but shouldn't be overly hot but make sure its not buried in a entertainment center or things blocking the airflow. But if its still way to hot you will want to contact netgear phone support if its still under warranty.
