DGND3700v2 only connects speed at 1mps

So,

I've connected my 3700 and set it up but only get 1.1Mps though ozspeedtest.

I then connected my old TPlink modem and get 11 to 15Mps though ozspeed test.

I've updated the rom to DGND3700v2-V1.1.00.26_1.00.26.img and it took 8 minutes though the 3700 (23 mb file) so I suspect a setting that regulates internet speed via my dsl connection.

Is there such a thing.

Hello nanoTechnician 

have you tried to adjust the MTU value at all on the 3700v2? also you may want to do a factory reset on the modem and try to do the setup again see if this resolves the speed issue.

Yeah the MTU. I cycled though this set: 1500, 1492, 1472, 1460, 1464, 1452. 

I remember having a cisco/linksys that could regulate the connection speed, I was wondering if there's a similar setting for PPPoE.

I also used this free but old tool: http://qsextreme.com/mtutest/

Resulting in a mtu of 1272.

Still runs at 1.1mbs. Can the line filter be the problem? So I did an isolation test, same result. Perhaps it's a dud.

It's pretty much junk if I have to connect a wire.

Just a part of trouble-shooting. For me I had used 3700 almost 6 years ago. I never owned modem/router combo unit. Always seems to have more

trouble.

Yeah, I kept using my old modem until an hour ago and reset it, the firmware went back to version 16 then redid that and it went to v26 then did a reset and put in my user/pass and installed the Genie software to test it from that end and it's now at 18mbs (out of a possible 25mps).

 was ready to throw it out tbh but resetting it till it worked seem to fix the problem, well it's faster than my older setup anyway.
