Hi Guys,

I would like ask a question about this device maybe not so close about the topic but I couldn't a closer topis about my question.
Is it possible to use this device, DGND3800B simply as a vdsl modem? Is it possible to switch the device into bridge mode? I would like use it this way because i would like to use my Mikrotik router as a router and this Netgear box as a modem before that.
is it possible?

Hello LuKePicci I also bought the dgnd3800b in germany and the modem isn't working in my country (Greece) (only annex a). I would appreciate if you could share this firmware with me ! But I have a question. This firmware supports english language ? Thank you very much and best regards !

@cyd777 - if I remember correctly someone also tryed thaqt with no success, see into the DGND3700 v3 firmware porting thread if you find something useful (it's in the DGND3700 discussion subforum)

I bought the DGND3800B in Germany thinking it is Annex A, but unfortunately it doesn't work in my POTS connection.

Sorry, I just realized that I am already running v3.0.012 annex A firmware compiled by LukePicci.
I just tried to start telnet (to adjust snr) and is not possible.
Is there any hope we can get snr adjustment in another firmware version?

Maybe. I did some tests with nat5 to open ports for telnet/ssh but all failed, I need a bit of free time to deeply understand firewall tweaking on this router.

Thank god I finally stumbled onto this thread - it was driving me nuts that I couldn't get my DGND3800B purchased in Germany to work in Spain.

Please, if someone who requested this modified fw has been ignored by me (I'm sorry, requests are more frequent that what may seem), send me another PM.

I'm still debugging rev6 issues with telnet daemon taking randomly all CPU res. If someone who flashed rev6 has random performance issues just let me know and I will send you rev5 (with locked telnet).

I live in India and while I was in Germany in Dec 2015 I bought Netgear D6200B not realising it is an Annex B modem. In India we have ADSL over PSTN i.e. Annex A. Can D6200B be switched to Annex A by changing the firmware to Annex A router. If it is possible can someone post the firmware to be uploaded so that the router works in Annex A. Thanks in advance. Could someone please clarify whether the DGND3700 and DGND3800 are EXACTLY the same hardware or not ? Is the POTS (Annex A) and ISDN (Annex B) distinction purely a difference in terms of software or firmware ?
