DM200 century link VERY slow speeds
I bought a DM200 modem/router about 1 month ago. My brother (a software engineer btw) helped me set up the modem. After many hours (probably 18) I finally got it working after reseting the modem several times and my ethernet card (I have a windows 10 computer). Unfortunately, the download speeds are less than 10mb/s. I used the VLAN ID CenturyLink gave me, but when I entered it in the modem disconnected. I also changed the MTU to 1400, but it didn't improve much if at all. BTW I updated to the latest firmware last night.

Re: DM200 century link VERY slow speeds
Which firmware version do you have on the DM200?
Did you reset the device after applying "the latest" firmware?
What is the speed of your internet connection?
What sort of internet connection? ADSL? VDSL?
Is there anything else on the network?
I used the VLAN ID CenturyLink gave me, but when I entered it in the modem disconnected.
Why use the VLAN ID? Is it mandatory for your service?
Have you asked CenturyLink for the MTU setting?

Re: DM200 century link VERY slow speeds
My firmware version is 1.0.0.52
I did just perform a reset.
My connection is ADSL
The speeds are less than 100 kb/s
I don't think my VLAN ID is mandatory
For whatever reason, CenturyLink's info is not included in the link you posted.
After disconnecting the netgear router and plugging in my old centurylink modem/router I'm now wondering if my computer's ethernet card is crap because the speeds on that were comparable to the netgear router, but then slowed down to less than 40kb/s
