DM200 ***does not**** work as modem
has anyone managed to get this working?
the amount of time I’ve wasted on this POS trying to get it to work in modem mode.
YES it does connect, but I can guarantee you there is firewall or ports being blocked when in "modem" mode
works fine in router mode, but I purchased it to work as modem with my R9000
when you switch to modem mode, yes you have internet access, however many services on LAN are then blocked, like Netflix, various EPG services, PSN and many more,

Re: DM200 ***does not**** work as modem
I would try posting this in the dsl modems section. You'll get better advice as you're currently in the mobile routers section.

I know of a couple frequent posters on here who use the DM200 in modem only mode and can hopefully help out if you post in the section they monitor.

A description of actual symptoms might have more value than your
personal guarantee. When in modem-only mode, a DM200 should be too
stupid to block much of anything; that's generally a router function.

Firmware version?
Have you tried connecting one computer directly to the
DM200-as-modem (without the R9000)?

Yes. Been merrily chugging away for more than a year.

What are the symptoms you see? "Blocked" could mean many things.
I assume that you are not making the basic mistake of starting things in the wrong order.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.
Maybe you did that. Sadly, the lack of details in your messages leave us guessing. For example, did you update the firmware on the DM200 before you connected it to the network?
If you already had the R9000 running with a different modem, did you reset the router before introducing it to the DM200?
Again, another piece of missing information that could be important.
