DM200 modem seems to be capped at 16 mbps
I recently upgraded my service to 30 mbps through century link. Every speed test I do, I can not get anything past 16 mbps. I talked to CL and they said they are showing 30 going to my modem and everything checks out fine on their end. I am running a wi-fi network with an Apple airport time capsule connected to the DM200 modem. I even talked to apple support and everything with the airport device is running like it should. I unplugged every possible thing in my house that could be on the wifi and still can't get speeds past 16. Also, I have tried 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz wifi connections and that hasnt helped any. I would like to find out if there is possibly an issue with the router, before I go buy a new one. Thanks

If the Apple airport time capsule is a router, then you need to configure your DM200 in modem only mode,
Out of the box it also performs limited "routering" functions.
The manual Quick Start guide and explain how to do this.
There is support for the DM200, including a manual, somewhere at the end of this link:

What did you actually do? And what is on your network?
I'm afraid that "tried that" could mean anything.
Putting the DM200 into modem only mode, that is not enough.
Troubleshooting depends on having good information.

Sorry... I tried putting the device in "modem only", cycled power to it and once it reconnected, I ran a speed test again and still having the same issue. Internet speeds top out at 16 Mbps. I am getting the same speeds on my phone, my computer and Xbox. I tried disconnecting every single thing so that when I run a speed test, only one device is connected to either wi-fi or directly to the modem. Also, a CS service tech just left my house and he tested the incoming line outside the house and the phone jack, both lines are showing 33 Mbps.

I suspected that this was what happened. It isn't enough.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.
You may want to reset the router to factory defaults first.

I did just as you outlined...
Unplugged and turned off everything, then one at a time I plugged back in each device and waited 2 minutes before proceeding to the next.
Also, I replaced that yellow cord going from the modem to the router with a brand new one.
Also, I reset my router (apple airport) to the factory settings. Just using the 2.4GHz channel in automatic. Then once again unplugged everything and plugged them back in, in the order that you outlined waiting 2 minutes before proceeding to the next.
Ran a speed test and it was 16.11/1.55 Mbps... About the same that it has been.
I also tried to access my modem through the static IP address that was in the Netgear manual. But it won't allow me to access it now... I don't know if it changed or what..? I type in the IP address into my browser and basically, nothing happens. Just a blank page and not the router interface.

Re: DM200 modem seems to be capped at 16 mbps
One thing you haven't mentioned is have you tried connecting your PC to the DM200 directly taking the Apple Airport out of the picture and tried the speed test? This should allow you to better isolate the problem.

I do not have a thunderbolt to ethernet connector, but I ordered one, just hasn't arrived yet. So instead, I hooked my Xbox directly to the modem and performed a speed test on it. Still maxed out at 16 Mbps.

With the DM200 in modem only mode, the default address doesn't work because it is no longer a router. It takes some faffing around to get back in.
The manual explains this. See the section Reenable the Modem’s Routing Features.

Thanks, I'll read into that... Everything is still running at a 16 mbps 😞

Re: DM200 modem seems to be capped at 16 mbps

"both lines"? Does your "30 mbps through century link" service use a
bonded _pair_ of phone lines?
https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1708742
I know nothing, but if the system were sufficiently adaptable, then
using one of the two lines might give you about half the speed that
you'd get if both lines were used.

_Which_ "the static IP address that was in" _which_ "the Netgear
manual"? Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "View
Information About the Modem and the Internet Port Settings". The DSL
statistics like "Link Rate" might be interesting. If that says
something like, say, "16000 Kbps" (downstream), then I would not be
amazed if you did not see 30Mb/s (from half your bonded line-pair?).

I know nothing, but that's not what the DM200 User Manual says. Page
69:
IMPORTANT: After you disable the modem's routing features and the
modem functions as a DSL modem only, you can access the modem only
through a fixed IP address,which is 192.168.5.1. [...]

Among many other things.
> [...] 30 mbps [...]
Note: "m" = milli = 1/1000. "M" = "mega" = 1000000.

And CenturyLink agrees? An RJ11 can offer four conductors, not only
two.

Still true. The CenturyLink "Modem compatibility table" suggests
that VDSL would not need bonding for 30Mb/s service, but ADSL might:

Not sure which bit you read, or what you did, but getting into the DM200 in modem only mode is not a piece of cake. (I have one.)
As I said, you can't simply aim your browser at http://192.168.5.1.
It is case of disconnecting your PC, or whatever you use to get at the DM200, from your router. The manual probably is not the simplest explanation. Read the Quick Start guide:
To log in to the DSL modem and change its settings when the DSL modem is in Modem (Modem only) mode:
- Manually change your computer’s fixed IP address.
Use the following settings:
• IP address. 192.168.5.x (note that the last digit can be 2 to 250)
• Subnet mask. 255.255.255.0
If your computer detects an IP conflict, change the last digit of the IP address.
For more information about how to change your computer’s fixed IP address, see the documentation that came with your computer.- Disconnect the router from the DSL modem.
- Connect a computer to the LAN port on the DSL modem using an Ethernet connection.
- Launch a web browser and enter http://192.168.5.1 in the address field of the browser. A login window opens.
- Enter the DSL modem user name and password.
The user name is admin and the default password is password.
The BASIC Home page displays.
As to this bit:

I think the question is, what does "both" refer to? The box outside and the phone jack?
For most DSL users, the phone jack is wired to that "box outside", which isn't something that we can plug into to test speeds.

Still true. The CenturyLink "Modem compatibility table" suggests
that VDSL would not need bonding for 30Mb/s service, but ADSL might:
- I just talked to century link and they confirmed that I am running VDSL2...

Have you tried setting the "transfer mode" to VDSL in your "internet setup" screen of your modem configurtion?
