I generally stick with a web browser on a conventional computer
(normally Firefox on a Mac). I have enough problems with the Netgear
router firmware that adding another layer of Netgear "app" software has
never appealed to me.
My iPad use (iPad 2, 9.3.5) has been slight, and my expertise is
similarly weak, but I've never seen a user-accessible file system on the
thing, so, even if I could find a way to save a web page in Firefox (or
Safari), I wouldn't know where to find it later. Nor would I know how
to deal conveniently with a simple text file there. On a conventional
computer, it's all easy.

It's never happened with my D7000[v1]. It shouldn't, but, without
access to the source code, who could be sure?
I'd save the ADVANCED > Advancd Setup > Port Forwarding / Port
Triggering web page, so that recovery using copy+paste would be easier.
(What I actually do is maintain a text file with such settings, and
copy+paste from that into the router web forms when I configure it.
But, if you don't have such a file, then saving the web page should be
pretty close.)

Thank you for the reply!
So, do you use the Netgear Genie app to access those settings or the web address of the router? The Genie keeps timing out when I enter what I think is the password and email address.
i’ve tried recovering my password thinking I maybe put in the wrong one, but I still get the timeout. I am on iPad running iOS 11.3.
Thanks,
