Dropping wifi
Model number D7000 v2 Nighthawk modem router.
The WiFi drops out about every 2 days. Takes about 4 modem restarts to get it to stay connected. The modem also restarts it self during this time. Running a 5G and two 2.4G connections. The modem is brand new just been replaced. Running 10+ wireless connections. Updated to lastest firmware did not help. Version 1.0.0.7
Any help appreciated.

Re: Dropping wifi
the current firmware is 1.0.0.76.
You didn't put a last digit on there as theres also a 1.0.0.74
I've seen several issues on the forums with "the latest" firmwares on these d7000's. Have you tried downgrading the firwmare a version (or more than 1) and then factory reset/reinstall? (disable auto-updates afterwards)

Re: Dropping wifi
yes i have tried that. Would the number of devices connected to it affect it?

Re: Dropping wifi
How many devices are connected to it?
You put the modem is brand new. what modem is it connected to?
When it drops out, does it say "connected, no internet", does wifi stop broadcasting entirely, do wired devices drop? What actually happens when its drops out?

Re: Dropping wifi
Brand new modem replaced by Netgear.
11 devices connected wirelessly.
1 contected by cable.
Have a 5g and a 2.4 setup.
Drops out and all devices on the 2.4 ans sometimes all will go.
Modem/router sometimes reboots it self once it has dropped out.
I preform a restart of the modem once it goes by pressing the power button on modem.
Restart 1: 5G is fine no 2.4 found
Restart 2: 5G is fine 2.4 is found but drops within 5 mins
Resatrt 3: 5G fine no 2.4 found
Restar 4: All found drops again fully the next day. I than repeat the restart. Sometimes it take 5 or 6 times to get it all up again.
During this time the modem/router can disconnect and reconnect by it self.
Internet stays conteced on the wired device sometimes.

Re: Dropping wifi
Try installing the 1.0.0.62 firmware. Then do a factory reset/reinstall. Disable auto-updates.
try that

Re: Dropping wifi
Netgear support told us it was due to a faulty modem/router and replaced it with a new modem/router last week.
We plugged the new one in and we are still having the same issues.
Original modem/router is the same model number.
