Dyndns and DGN2000
I would like to access from internet to my QNAP TS-101 which is behind the router DGN2000 (firmware 1.1.1)
The IP is static and set to 192.168.0.4
I performed the following steps:
1)Creation of an host with Dyndns (xxxxxxx.dyndns.org) with the public ip i found with http://www.ip-lookup.net
2)activated the Dinamic dns service for the router, with the correct username and password i use to access my account at www.dyndns.org and the address i choose:xxxxxxx.dyndns.org
3)i set the services and port forwarding as follows:
http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/2320/servizi.png
http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/9541/firewall.png
i.e., i opened the ports 8080,80,443,6000,ecc....and forwarded it to the 192.168.0.4 ip of my lan
From within my lan i can ping the xxxxx.dyndns.org address but i cannott acces the configuration page of the QNAP nor of the Router, from outside i cannot even ping the xxxx.dyndns.org address.
Can you help me?

Re: Dyndns and DGN2000
Do NOT test behind the router
called loopback
http://www.dyndns.com/support/kb/loopback_connections.html
test from external ONLY

Yesterday I also tested from external but didn't work.
Today, after changing the remote control port from 8080 to another value it did work!

Re: Dyndns and DGN2000
Sorry if I resume this old post but the argument is in my interest.
I have discovered today that dyndns.org don't offer anymore the free service. Now I have moved my IP in an other site DNSdynamic.org but this don't exist in the modem page only dyndns.org is present. How can I use all functions of my modem? Can I add an other ddns free service?
Thanks in advance
