Error when setting admin password using Password Manager (eg 1Password).
I've discovered an error/bug when attempting to change the admin password on a Netgear D700 (Nighthawk AC1900).
Like many of you I use a password manager (in my case 1Password)
In the Netgear admin page for changing password (Administration > Set Password)
There seems to be a limit in place of 32 characters for your new password.
If you type in a password by hand a pop-up will warn you of this (and stop you) from typing more.
However -- if you copy and paste a new password (longer than 32 characters) from 1Password it won't give you an error.
In fact it will act as if the new password has been accepted.
When you then try and log in it wont work.
(maybe your new accepted password is truncated at 32 characters?)
Is there any way Netgear could add a message (such as "password must be shorter than 32 characters") on the screen before you start typing (ie not just in a warning popup). I didn't understand why my password wasn't working, but now I've figured it out and wanted to share my knowledge.
Attached screenshots of the password entry screen and the pop-up window (only seen if you enter >32 characters *by hand*, not cut n paste)
