Evertime my Iphone 7 leaves the network it crashes my D7000v2

My Nighthawk  D7000v2  has been working fine for a month.
But I recently did an iPhone update.   Now every time I leave the network and then come back the Nighthawk  D7000v2 has crashed.

I think its something to do with the iPhone reconnecting.  but the logs are unhelpful

the D7000v2 has the latest firmware

I Found a solution finaly.

Under Wireless Network (2.4GHz b/g/n)
I changed
Channel:Auto     to  Channel:11

I have not had the issue since.
Many thanks, guys for the help.

Re: Evertime my Iphone 7 leaves the network it crashes my D7000v2

You are on firmware version V1.0.0.51.

The first move would be to get the newer version:

D7000v2 Firmware Version 1.0.0.52 | Answer | NETGEAR Support

It might be a good  idea to factory reset the thing after the firmware update.

That's weird, it kept saying that the firmware was up-tp-date.
Will let you know if that fixes it.

Re: Evertime my Iphone 7 leaves the network it crashes my D7000v2

So I updated the firmware and its still an issue. If I l walk out my front door and my Iphone disconnects from my wifi, then walk in the door, My wifi network has crashed and needs to be manually rebooted.

Do you have any other ideas, I now have to hard reset my router 6 to 10 times a day,
Before it used to crash when my iPhone was connecting,  now it crashes at random.

I fell like I spent 400 bucks on a dud router, I can get my work uploaded, I'm pulling my hair out.

DO you know what Netgear's return policy is like?

Your iPhone is running now 12.1? Have you tried yet turning-off Beamforming?

Mine is a v1 but it seems before I turned-off Beamforming I was having similar problems to your own.

There is a manual for the D7000v2 somewhere at the end of this link:

>>>> D7000v2 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<<

See the section Manage Beamforming

Re: Evertime my Iphone 7 leaves the network it crashes my D7000v2

I wonder if the OP is using his iPhone 7 in 5GHz mode with the 7000? I have only ever used our iGizmos in 2.4GHz mode and thus the "implicit beamforming" setting (which is controllable) would seem to apply, but in 802.11ac mode 5GHz then it's apparently not controllable, though who knows what bugs there might be in the Netgear firmware.
