Firmware upgrade for D7000
I need to upgrade my D7000 using wifi. I have no ethernet connection for my desktop.I have a Dell desktop running Windows 10. I am currently on firmware version V1.0.0.18_1.o.1.
I recieved an e mail message from Netgear telling me I needed to upgrade my firmware. When I check on the Genie site, I do have an older version.
When I downloaded the software from the web site, and try to open it, I get a corruption message. Also there is no .img after the downloaded file, though it recognizes that it is a disk image, I have repeated the process at least 6 times with the same result. (Yes... insanity)
Netgear told me to downlload the
V1.0.1.50 |
version rather than the ,68 version I had been trying to load. I did. It failed,,, three more times.
Netgear claims they can not send me a CD,mini card or thumb drive with the firmware.
Suggestions???

Hardware version (Plain/[v1], "v2")?

Why?

Not a very detailed description of anything, but ok.

Sounds like a Plain/[v1].

Some support person? Web site? Other?

What, exactly, did you do?

How, exactly, when you did what, exactly?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions.
The usual advice is to use a wired connection to do that.
