GS 105 Switch disable IGMP

I posted this here as there is no place to ask a " Switch " question.

I have 2 GS105 switches on my Telus home network.  We have narrowed down all the poor service and problems to these 2 switches.  When eliminated from the network, it runs flawless.  Switch active on the network and we have freezing of channels, on demand not working properly ( keeps thinking the episode is over and autoplays the next episode )

I have read if I disable the IGMP on the switch, it should stop these problems.  I cant find anyway to access the management of the switch.

   Connected how?

What else have you eliminated from the network when you eliminate the
switches?  And, if the answer is "nothing", then why are you using the
switches?

   Thanks for the helpful link(s).

Interesting.  I know nothing, but I thought that IGMP was used by
routers, not switches.

On an unmanaged switch, this does not amaze me.

Did you try the manual?

Visit the support pages:

Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

It depends on the exact model number of your GS105. Not all GS105s are born equal.

Look for the model number on the label on the device.

If it exists for your deviuce, check the section in the manual Access the Switch With the ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility.

You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your hardware, in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:

Plug-And-Play No-Configuration Access Switches Forum

or, if you have one of the spiffier versions, here:

Smart Plus and Smart Pro Managed Switches Forum

The bog standard version is beyond your control.
