Huh? What is your "my main router"? What has QoS?

My quick search found info on a DG834Gv5, but not a DG834GUv5
(Perhaps "U" denotes "with USB"?)
In any case, QoS is a router feature, not a wireless-access-point
feature. See:
If you still want to configure your old DG834GUv5 as a WAP, then see, for
example:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1463500
That's written for a C6300-as-WAP, but the steps are about the same for
any other router (any make/model) which lacks a one-step WAP option.

Re: How can i use DG834g v5 adsl router as 2nd access point
The DG834g is a seriously old (2008) ADSL modem/router.
It will have few of the bells and whistles that come with newer devices.
You may be able to put this thing into AP mode, but doing so will almost certainly disable features such as QoS.
Disabled Features on the Router when set to AP Mode | Answer | NETGEAR Support
That KnowledgeBase piece is for devices that are designed to be used in AP mode, but I doubt if that will make much difference.
By the way, according to Netgear's manual for this device the LAN and WAN support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware. This may not matter to you, but be warned that it will hobble you if you ever sign up for faster Internet. It also slows down whatever is going on in your local network. Newer devices support 1000BASE-TX.
