Is the DGND4000 near or beyond end of life ?
Does anyone know if the DGND4000 is at end of life ? Cannot find it at the usual retail big box stores. Found it on the Netgear site but the "buy now" box is grayed out. Seems like there's a sales prevention program going on. LOL
I have a DGN2200 N300 but you can't get any more updates for this unit - I am concerned about protection from hackers and other low life.

Re: Is the DGND4000 near or beyond end of life ?
The "newest" firmware for the DGND4000 is near on five years old. Not far off EOL.
The supply of DSL modem/routers seems to be dying. Prices for anything left in the retail system are silly.
I recently had to resort to the aftermarket for a DM200, modem only box. It was as good as new and didn't seem to have been used.
Generally, modem/routers offer you less choice of features on the router side. That is one reason why experienced users often opt for separate modems and routers. That gives you a better choice of router stuff and the ability to upgrade while sticking with the same modem.
