Modem century link

what are my choices please?

   Too numerous to list here.

   Do you want a DSL modem, or a DSL modem+router, or what?  (Have you a
router already?)  What are your other requirements?  How much are you
willing to spend?

   I'd expect almost anything made in the past ten years which says
"DSL" on it to cope with an ADSL2+ connection.  Pick a model and look at
its specifications?

I have the D7000v1 and would say to you: Not the D7000! Whether v1 or v2!

I bought mine only a year ago, and should have observed the warning signs since it was not easy to find. Today even the v2 appears hard to find, and the v1 is supposedly End-of-life, so I would stay away from that one no matter what kind of deal you might trip-across.
