My Netgear N300 DGN 2200 router reverted to default password.

I reset my password but the 'Set Password' in the maintenance section is showing as not secure and logins entered here could be compromised?
What is happening? and how do I secure it?
UPnp is off

Some how the modem rest it self maybe a firmware update or some thing but you need to change the password to something else and usersname may need to be change here is the link for the users manual http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/DGN2200/DGN2200_UM_3Feb11.pdf

Which password? Router? Wifi?
