Need modem authentication

After a bad storm the other night, we had an internet outage. I called our internet provider who said everything looked good on their end but they could see that our model needed reauthenticating. That gave me the credentials I would need pass on to Net gear support. When I logged onto Netgear, I learned that I did not have access to support but would need to pay $90 to get someone on the phone. Is reauthenticating something I can do myself?

   Did they tell you what that meant?

   That might depend on what it is.

   Did you do a settings reset on it?

 

   What do its LED indicators indicate?


   Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.  Look for the LED
descriptions and "Troubleshoot".  Or the basic installation
instructions?
