Netgear AC1900 (D7000-200UKS) drops Internet connection
Hello,
Seen quite a few posts about issues with the AC1900, mine is the D7000-200UKS variant).
The issue is that it drops the Internet connection on a regualr basis (once every week, at random times) and requires a reboot in order for the connection to come back again.
I haven't been able to get much in terms of diagnostics except that all the lights remain on but there is no wired or wireless internet at all, I haven't tried accessing the unit.
The firmware is the latest one offered via the control panel V1.0.0.56_1.0.1
Happy to provide any further information that may help, but other than that I'm looking at returning the unit as it is still under warranty. Looking at comments on the board, it looks like a common fault with the unit whereby it just drops connectivity.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

No, I use mine constantly, the Op of the thread you pointed to said it is when not in use.

I don't know, the OP of that thread didn't mentione their ISP. Mine is BT for reference.

They also said cameras were attached. So, it was in use.

I have not seen reports here of BT doing a regular reset. It certainly doesn't happen to me.
If the firmware really is V1.0.0.56_1.0.1, that suggests that you have the D7000 v2 rather than the D7000 listed in your footer.
Did you reset the modem/router after applying the new firmware?

You are right, I have just logged in and the routers control panel shows D7000v2, the box doesn't mention anything about v2, but I guess it is.
Yes, it has been rebooted (not reset) since the firmware upgrade.

A full reset is the next step when troubleshooting post-flash trauma.

Unfortunately, Netgear's community database sometimes lacks the V1/V2 variants.
The label on the device is the best place to check the version number.
