Netgear D7000 Address Reservation

I'm having an issue with an 18-month old Netgear D7000 which WILL NOT adhere to the address reservation table I've added to it. I have just ONE device which I require to have a fixed address, and it cannot even manage that. It's infuriating. I am on firmware

V1.0.1.64_1.0.1.

This post: https://community.netgear.com/t5/DSL-Modems-Routers/Nighthawk-D7000-DHCP-Address-Reservation-not-Wor... is the only one I can find which claims to "solve" the problem, but I don't believe that downgrading to a 2+ years out of date firmware counts as a solution. Can anyone provide an actual fix to this, as six months of firmware updates have done nothing to address a problem (which started after upgrading firmware in the first place).

TIA

I don't either, but I've never noticed an address reservation problem
on mine, using firmware versions from V1.0.1.48_1.0.1 through
V1.0.1.64_1.0.1.  For most of those updates, the old settings were
inherited from the old version, but my saved ".cfg" files suggest that
I've added one reservation while at V1.0.1.54_1.0.1 or V1.0.1.60_1.0.1.
I haven't built a list from scratch in a long time (perhaps since
V1.0.1.48_1.0.1), so I can't be sure that it'd work, but I'd expect it
to.

Have you reset the router?  In some cases, scrambled settings can
cause inconsistencies between displayed settings and actual behavior.

That would suggest trying a reset and (manual) reconfiguration.

Before I condemned all (half-dozen or so) firmware versions released
in the past year (and beyond), I'd want more evidence than this one
(detail-free) report.  I'd find it easier to believe that you're doing
something like specifying the wrong MAC address for your (unspecified)
"just ONE device", than that something this fundamental has been so bad
for so long (without affecting me).  It's not impossible, but it does
seem unlikely.

Only if there's an actual bug.

Useful evidence would include copy+paste of the Address Reservation
table, and copy+paste of an Attached Devices table, showing the problem
gizmo.
