Hello All In Netgear Community Netgear D7000 V1 Modem Are Now End Of Life And No Longer Doing Firmware And They Are Not Going To Fixed Issue With Google Chrome Issue Where You Cant Access Modem Login Page.

I would like to provide an update about this case. According to Engineering, the issue has something to do with Google update anyways other browsers are safe to use when accessing the modem's interface. If you really want to use Chrome, workaround is to downgrade the chrome's software to previous version. Also, they wont be able to provide firmware updates for the device anymore because the unit is tagged as EOL unfortunately.

I Have Other Devices In My House Tp-link TL-WR1043ND Till Working And Can Access Chrome With The Router Login And Last Update For That Was 2015. Netgear D7000 Final Update 1.0.1.70 On January 4 2019. I Feel Angry How They Only Supports It For 3 Year And How My Tp Link TL-1043 Is Still Work On Google They Should Do One Last Update To Fixed This Issue.

Netgear does not seem to put as much effort into maintaining modem/routers and their firmware as it devotes to simple routers.

If it abandoned the R7000 or R7000P there would be uproar.

This is one reason, here are others, why many experienced users have separate modems. The good news there is that standalone modems likew the DM200 are relatively inexpensive.

Recent products should not enter so quickly in End of Life.

Netgear should be ashamed because it is having a huge environmental cost on the planet and a waste of ressources.

Strange, new firmware for the D7000 V1 landed just eight days ago.

Does anyone know if the 1.0.1.74 addreses the VPN MD5 issue?

Not sure where to read about the quoted security fixes. Really unclear.
