Re: Netgear D7000 closed port
Not sure what you understand to be "close all ports" - best guess you have no NAT port forwardings (manually or UPnP PMP defined) in place. This does stop direct incoming connections from the Internet to NATed LAN ports, but it won't stop the Internet access for systems on the LAN.

Re: Netgear D7000 closed port
I disabled upnp, and closed all ports in the forwading port.
Nevertheless are you telling me that internet traffic can enter my nas qnap? If so, what doors?

Re: Netgear D7000 closed port
Well, like many other similar downloaders, the QNAP Download Station is a P2P or BT downloader - depending on the tracker and/or the DHT in the play, still permitting it can continue to download (fetch) data packages. Just like your Web browser on the computer or mobile device is able to get Web page code and data.
