Netgear N300 DGN2200v4 Problem With Connection

I recently bought a used Netgear N300 DGN2200v4 from Amazon and the internet light on it stays red, so I have no connection when trying to use it.  I have all the cables plugged in, so I'm at a loss to figure out why the internet light is staying red. I'd welcome any suggestions anyone might have for fixing the problem.

The DGN2200v4 is a dsl modem/router combo device. 

Did you setup your dsl connection with your isp?

Recently? The DGN2200v4 dates back to 2017, with its original version in 2011.

It is an ADSL modem, a dying Internet technology. It does not support the newer and increasingly common VDSL Internet.
