Netgear d7800 modem
Hi, does anyone know if with the Netgear D7800 or the Netgear Night hawk x45 AC2600 in can use a Fax Mashine,
even so I am on NBN in Australia? If so which one would you recommend? Do I have to have a voip phone connection or not?

Re: Netgear d7800 modem
The D7800 Nighthawk X4S does not have a built-in VoIP adapter.
As there are many different providers handling the effective service on top of NBN, it's hard to provide advice (especially here from Switzerland). Some of the ISPs provide configuration data for VoIP ATA (analog telephone adapters), others seem to require their customers using the ISP provided CPE (the NBN network connecting device/router/WiFi/VoIP adapter) because they use proprietary or "secret" systems and don't grant access to the information required to configure your own ATA. Best is to consult with your service provider FMI.

What do you have in mind?
Fax machines usually work over a telephone line. Or you can get a USB gadget for a PC.
The router neither knows, or cares, about stuff on the phone line or PC.
While there are several variants on NBN, if you have one that plays nicely with the D7800 then it will not worry about fax devices.
