Good evening, new to this so be gentle, having a problem with my nighthawk d7000 router....
First, the D7000 is a modem/router. That means that it is connected to some sort of DSL internet service. What is it?

What do the LEDs on the thing look like when this happens?
What do you mean by "reset"? Turn the power off and on? Something else?
What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
There is support for the D7000, including a manual, somewhere at the end of this link:

"D7000" (D7000[v1]) or "D7000v2"?

A fair question.

That's for a D7000[v1]. In general, visit http://netgear.com/support
, put in your (actual) model number, and look for Documentation. Get
the User Manual (or whatever).
