An actual version number would be more reliable than your estimate of
what's (currently) "the latest".

   Plain ("v1") or "v2"?

   True.

The usual suggestion is to do a full ("factory") reset of the device,
and then reconfigure it.  The User Manual should explain how to do this.
Visit netgear.com/support, put in your model number, and look for
Documentation.

   I have a D7000 (plain/"v1"), and I updated from 1.0.0.48 to 1.0.0.50
without any special problem.  1.0.0.50 did add one known new bug (at

least):

but that's something else.

This question is now marked as "Solved". Does that mean that you no longer need suggestions? Or did someone jump the gun?

If you are still seeking ideas, it would help if you said what the LEDs on the router look like, especially the power LED. If that isn't green, then you have a problem with the new firmware.

Then there is the question of what you are trying to do.

Do you have an internet connection and just want to access the router's control interface?

If so, what are you using to connect to the device? A wired ethernet link? Wifi? A browser? One of Netgear's various "apps"?

And what happens when you try to get into the device with all those combinations you tried?

Re: Nighthawk D7000 firmware

No the problem didn't  solved! I have upgraded the firmware in order to solve the issues that i have allready have! When the power drops or if you close and open the router again i lost connection with the internet! Here i have to mention that i have changed from router settings the mode of the router to act as an acess point because that is the use i want to operate it (i allready have a modem from my internet provider and everthing is ok with this! ZTE modem) . I didn't know if the latest firmware solves this issue but its the last thing i can do. Do you have any ideas about this ? (the cables and the computers work fine on the home network - tested) . The power led that you mention its just white as from the first day i have this router. Also i have to mention that i have allready done hard reset like 5 times and again when the power cycle drops again tha same... 😞
