Hi im wanting to use my netgear modem for nbn instead of my optus one for better performance. Ive hooked everything up but im unable to connect to the internet is there any way of fixing this? thanks

If this is an existing D7000, used with an earlier internet service, try a factory reset to get it back to its initial state. Then set it up from scratch.
There is support for the D7000, including a manual, somewhere at the end of this link:
