Power adapter replacement for C6300

I just spent 41 minutes doing an online chat with someone at Netgear who obviously didn't have a clue.  I have a Netgear C6300/AC1750 with the orginal power cord/adapter.  It has the large brick plug and it takes up a ton of space on my UPS.  The online chat person didn't understand the word "brick."  I want to replace the original power cord/adapter with one that has the correct round plug on one end for the Netgear device and a regular 2 prong plug on the other end to plug into electric outlet on UPS.

I found one on Amazon that says it will work with a whole bunch of Netgear models.  Before I order it, does anyone know for sure exactly what I need or what will work?  This is the one I found:

I am wondering of all Netgear devices come with the big brick on the power plug end.  I'm getting so irritated about this that I may have to go to a store during COVID and look at them in person.

Anyway, does anyone here know if a replacement is available without the brick on the plug end?  I am attaching a picture of one with a brick end and one without.

Thanks.
Barbara

Re: Power adapter replacement for C6300

The voltage and polarity need to be the same. You can have higher amperage (not lower) because the combo device will pull what power it needs.

But why not just buy a cheap cord extension? Then you're still using the OEM power supply. Plus you can usually buy more than 1 for other devices.

When addressing a world-wide audience, phrases like "a regular 2
prong plug" have various interpretations.

That's more "informal" than an accepted technical term, isn't it?

Did you look at the electrical ratings on the original adapter?  Or
on the powered device itself?  They should pretty well answer those
questions (except for the output connector size).  Or, consult the
"Technical Specifications" section in the appropriate User Manual.

   A fair question.  (Although I wouldn't spend $5 for a cheap extension
cord.)

Thank you. I had not thought of doing that.
