Problem w DM 200

This is my first Netgear product and I must say I am quite surprised about the low quality software wise. It seems like this is something common for Netgear since I get the same unpolished experience here Netgear website (my product DM200 is not listed in the model drop down list just to name one example and I can not set it a a label either!).

 

Anyway I have been trying to get the DM200 DSL modems to work, but it does still fails to connect. First of all the Web UI is EXTREMELY slow. Say 1 minute or so just to click on a new tab. I am in Greece using ForthNet w a pppoe and static ip (ADSL, VPI 8 VCI 35). I have tried different browsers (IE, Chrome, FF) with the same results. Any help appreciated.

How are you connecting to the modem? Wifi? LAN?

 

A minute is too long.

 

How are you logging in?

 

The usual destinations are:
 
http://www.routerlogin.com/
 
and
 
http://www.routerlogin.net
 
If they don't work, then the IP address might be an option. Here the usual suspects are:
 
http://192.168.0.1
 
or
 
http://192.168.1.1

 

Is this a Windows PC? Is it throwing up any error messages?

 

What do the lights on the modem look like? What about the DSL light?
