Problems setting DM200 in bridge mode
Hi all, new to the forum. I'm trying to set up a DM200 modem as a bridge to a Nighthawk AC2600 router. I set the DM200 in modem in "modem only" mode, and it said it was receiving Internet correctly. I then try to connect the Nighthawk in router mode with all the same DSL settings, and it cannot see that the Internet is working. Any ideas on why this might be? At the moment I'm using the DM200 as a router and the Nighthawk as an access point, which I'm guessing is not the most efficient setup.

"AC2600" is a speed, not a model number. Ever helpful, Netgear
product packaging emphasizes speeds like "AC2600", but that's not the
model identifier.

Connect it to what? How, exactly? Whose "same DSL settings"? Does
this "the Nighthawk" include a DSL modem, or are you connecting it to
the DM200?

What are the observations which led to that interpretation?

Re: Problems setting DM200 in bridge mode
This has come up before, several times. (I did a forum search for "DM200 bridge ".)
Here is one of the messages:
Solved: Rif.: R7000 & DM200 Setup - NETGEAR Communities
As you can see, it is even marked "solved", although, from reading the "solution", quite why is puzzling. It does, though, have a contribution and some link from a Netgear moderator.
There are more where that came from.It might not solve this issue immediately, but it will give you some things to try and might point you in the right direction.

Re: Problems setting DM200 in bridge mode
Sorry for the mistake, it's an R7800 router. Currently it's running with the DM200 in Modem Router mode with the R7800 purely as a wireless AP. That does seem to be slightly underutilizing the potential of the R7800 though.
I think my problem is that I can't set the VLAN ID setting to 101 on the R7800 (there isn't even an option to set it) which is required by my ISP. I see the DM200 has a VLAN Passthrough option in modem only mode, but when I ticked that option I still couldn't get the internet on the R7800. Any thoughts?

That's a DSL setting, isn't it? I'd expect the DSL modem+router to
be where you'd set that, not the R7800 router (especially if the R7800
is configured as a wireless access point).

And it has nothing like it in modem+router mode? I've never seen a
DM200, so I know nothing, but my D7000 has a "Use VLANID" under BASIC >
Internet.
