Congratulations.

That's too bad. What, exactly, does "actual modem" mean to you?
> I was trying to use my old `modem router' as modem but I failed
The non-psychics in your audience know nothing about your ISP, your
"my old `modem router'", what you did with it, or what happened when you
did it. Did you have a question?

Re: R7000
There is support material, including a manual, for the R7000 somewhere at the end of this link:
>>>> R7000 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<<
You can read how to use it with a modem. See page 14. And check the Quick Start guide.
If it doesn't work, come back with an explanation of what you are doing and where it goes wrong. And tell us about the modem, its make and model number.
You can help people to help you by providing the information suggested in this forum's header:
Subject (Include model number and brief summary)
Model (Recommended - Helps the community give the best answers)
Body (Include additional detail including model version, firmware, OS and environment where relevant.)
