Reverse from AP mode to Default

I was using my netgear x4s d7800 in ap mode for a while and now I am trying to reverse it back to default but was unsuccessful.

I stuck a pin in the reset button and hooked up all the cables appropriately however cannot seem to configure the unit.

After I click the prompt to automatically detect my settings I get stuck on a screen that says "wizard is performing quick scan of your PVC/protocol; please wait" after more than 20 mins of waiting I was still stuck on this screen and could not progress.

The DSL/Internet light is red (internet connection undetected) and can't seem to get it to turn white.

Can you access the modem's controls in the browser?

If you can  get into that, you should be able to reverse the steps on page 253.

Maybe you have done all that. You don't say.

If you are using the setup wizard and that is what is failing, then try doing it manually. That's in the manual too.

can you list the settings that i would need to enter manually?

The manual says that to get it to get into AP mode you:

• ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Router / AP Mode.
  The Router / AP Mode page displays.
• Select the AP Mode radio button.

My guess is that you just  deselect the AP Mode radio button.

i cant log in to the router settings whilst it is in AP mode therefore i click the reset button on the modem so its not really reversing im starting from scratch again but my modem isnt detecting an internet connection.
