Router Update (Possibly Faulty)

Hi,
I'm hoping somebody out there can offer some helpful advice.
I'm having a few problems replacing my firmware. My current version is V1.0.0.32_1.0.1.
I select Advanced > Administration > Firmware Update. I then browse to a file which I downloaded from the Netgear website - R7000-V1.0.4.30_1.1.67.chk and click upload. At this stage I get the following error message...
"Please assign the correct file. The file format is *.img"
I've tried using the 'Firmware Update Assistant' but, after this checks the Netgear servers I'm told that no new firmware version is available.
I've checked the forums and it seems that most other users don't have the 'Firmware Update' option - instead they have 'Router Update'.
I think my router may be faulty. Any advice would be really welcome.
Thanks very much.
