Troubleshooting refurbished Netgear wireless connection | C3700
Hi All - I have a C3700 Netgear wifi modem and router. I got it refurbished from Amazon 2 years back. I registered it via 192.168.0.1 to get the serial number and it was working fine from 2 years. Yesterday I restarted it (in general via main plug) and it never started again.
I am able to connect via ethernet cable and it works fine but I don't see the wifi network in any of the device. I see that all the lights are solid green except Upstream arrow(it is blinking).
I lost the serial number that I might have generated as per the instructions via 192.168.0.1
Now, what should I do ? Can I reset the modem without having the serial number? I couldn't find similar issue on the internet yet.
Any way to re-generate the serial number ? Please help

Re: Troubleshooting refurbished Netgear wireless connection | C3700
Update : Comcast technician resolved the upstream light issue, but I still don't see wifi network on my devices. Wifi button on router doesn't resolve it. any other idea ?
Note: 192.168.0.1 doesn't accept the serial number that is showing up on xfinity website

I'm afraid this is all very confusing.

What is this serial number? If it is for the C3700, then it is on the bottom.
192.168.0.1 isn't some magic website out on the Internet. It is the way into the browser's graphical user interface (GUI) for your modem/router.
That will ask for a series number if you are trying to feed in the wrong password and it is trying to use password recovery. The default password is also on the label with the serial number.
If that does not work, then at some stage someone has changed the password. If password recovery does not work, then you will have to factory reset the C3700 and set up your modem/router again fro, scratch.
There is a manual for the C3700 somewhere at the end of this link:
>>>> C3700 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<<
If the thing is working with everything except the wifi, then come back and explain what you see.
This bit is not much help:

Does not resolve what?
Is the wifi LED on the device lit up?
