UDP connectivity issues
Hi,
I have a PS4 cpnnected (wired or on wifi - makes no difference) to my home network and a companion app that runs on iphone. So the game on the PS4 broadcasts UDP across the local network. From what I can tell the D7800 treats this broadcast as a DoS attack which causes a lag between game and app. Eventually the router gets tired and emotional and crashes in a heap.
Apparently the game broadcasts to 255.255.255.255 Any idea how I can unblock this traffic?
Many thanks in advance.
BTW I have turned off Port Scanning & DoS protection. UPnP is on and I've tried just about anything else I can think of....

How, exactly, are you telling this?

That's a broadcast. Just like a DHCP query. Many things are
possible, but I wouldn't bet that every broadcast message causes a
problem.

Re: UDP connectivity issues
All appears fine in general with UDP off with it on it seems to take all of the Lan bandwidth (other uses can do anything on the internet) and eventually the router disconnects from the the broadband.
