Using the D6300 with HFC NBN and VOIP - Possible?
Hi, my first post, so please bear with me.
I have D6300 modem/router and using successfully with ADSL with pretty good house coverage (even with double brick walls). Just switched to DODO NBN and got their free HG659 modem/router. Working all good, although WIFI coverage is a little less wtihin the house.
Questions: Would I be better to switch back to the D6300 for improved WIFI coverage or stick with the DODO supplied one? Is it a straight switch back to the D6300??
Additionally, we are trying to set-up VOIP. Still in process with DODO for this, but not sure if the D6300 can be used with VOIP?
Appreciate all help/advice.

Please post this here in the DSL modem forum:

I would also contact the ISP and ask them about use of this model modem on there system first.

What type of NBN? The D6300 only does DSL.
There are several types of NBN.
What is an NBN network and is my NETGEAR DSL modem router compatible? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
If you have DSL, then the D6300 should work.
If you just want the D6300 to deliver wifi, then you can use it as a wireless access point.
There is a manual for the D6300 somewhere at the end of this link:
>>> D6300 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<
See the section Use the Modem Router as a Wireless Access Point.
Additionally, we are trying to set-up VOIP.
That's just a label. You'll have to provide more details of what you mean by VOIP before anyone can help.
