d7000 mac / router loosing conection

d7000 mac / router loosing conection
the genie lamp is green on top of screen, but if you click on wifi icon on top of screen, "its always looking for signal" even changinging fromnetgeaar08 to neatgear08-05, or time capsule.
has latest firm wear. router is down stairs, small two bed house with plaster board walls.
have sky Q which also has a router in it now. have moved phone away from d7000. any idears ? i just pluged it in and got the conections, i not that good changing settings etc.

Are you saying your PC keeps jumping back and forth between wifi connections?

It's not jumping from one connection to other , it just keep saying ,"looking for connection" and "wifi on"

It's a mac, I have presumed that the drivers would have come with Apple updates. Not sure though,
