netgear modem DM200 specs wrong
I have a netgear DM200 modem which is used for VDSL. Netgear claims it supports 200Mb/s download but the ethernet port is only 100Mb/s. How can you legally claim a device to be capable of 200Mb/s download when it is unable to forward it because of port limitations?

Hello SystemErrorMess
Where are you seeing it supports 200Mbs the manual has it listed as a 10/100 Lan port.

I asked the same question when it came up in another discussion.
Re: DM200 connection problems - NETGEAR Communities
No answer.
SystemErrorMess seems to be on a mission to warn people about this "deceit".They didn't believe me when I pointed to the specifications as described in the manual. Perhaps they read it somewhere else.
The other discussion, about connection problems, something completely different, has now acquired yet another twist from someone else.

Re: netgear modem DM200 specs wrong
Well it was not mentioned beforehand.
First netgear's own amazon page for the product said 200 Mb/s download (VDSL2) and gigabit ethernet port, than gigabit ethernet port was removed, than the 200Mb/s download. I was watching this before it came out.
