nighthawk x4s d7800 adsl not working
I have the nighthawk x4s d7800 which is an ADSL modem router.
It appears to connect sucessfully to my ADSL provider (Daisy communications) in the UK.
In The "ADVANCED" screen it says green tick next to internet port, shows an IP address, DNS etc. shows that it is sending and reciving bytes.
In the "BASIC" screen it says "no internet" and when you click on that it says "No ethernet cable is plugged into the router internet port"
But hang on i am using the internal ADSL modem so i dont know why it is looking for an ethernet cable at all? Somhow it is not directing to the internal ADSL modem and this i think is causing the issue.
In the Advanced/Setup/WAN Setup under WAN Preference is selected "Must use DSL WAN" if this makes any difference?
Tried upgrading firmwhare.
Having seen posts here tried downgrading firmware.
Am currently on v220.127.116.11 as recoomeneded as a good version.
Facory re-set and put all the details in again.
Still have same problem.
Any help would be much appreciated have spent days on this already!
Note i have another ADSL modem router which connects fine with same settings but that one is old and only 2G wifi hence wanting to use the nighthawk.
