nigthawk D7000v2 router mode
I bought a D7000v2 but have had a lot of problems with it. It won't work with my fibre connection so am trying to use it as a router instead.
I see that there is a router mode for other models - is there one for this?

Re: nigthawk D7000v2 router mode
It should have that, too. I have checked the knowledgebase and see there's an instruction on how to do it on other models. Give it a try!

"won't work" is not a useful problem description. It does not say
what you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.
The non-psychics in your audience may also know little about your "my
fibre connection".

What, exactly, do you see where, exactly? Which "other models"?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in _your_ model number, and
look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for "Set Up
the Modem Router for Cable or Fiber Service". Note that the D7000v2
User Manual is lousy with errors, especially in parts relevant to this,
so, if that's your model, then you may need to do some reasoning as well
as reading. The D7000[v1] User Manual might be helpful, too. (The
D7000[v1] actually does have the "red Internet port" mentioned in the
D7000v2 User Manual, for example.)
