password not working

I have a netgear router D6200. I am unable to log into the netgear genie app. Despite trying to push the rest button on the back of the router. This is the error I get......

‘NETGEAR router was not found or is not supported. Make sure that your mobile device is not connected to the router's guest network and that IPv6 is not enabled.‘

I can see other people have had this problem... but have not seen a solution to resolve.

LED indicators?  I'd forget the app, and stick with a web browser.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual.  Read.

With my weak psychic powers, I can't guess what you saw where.

Thanks for your input I will give it a go.

Sarcasm does not promote a ‘helpful community’ as the web page suggests it is. I was referring to reviewing other posts on the web site I had read.

And that non-description still conveys no useful information.  There
are many "other posts on the web site".  (Even assuming that "the web
site" means these forums.)  I still can't guess what you saw where.  You
could quote.  You could provide a link.  Or, you could waste everyone's
time with stuff like "I can see".  Your choice.

First, the D6200v2 is a modem/router. It probably doesn't matter, but remember that when looking for advice.

Then there is the netgear genie app. Which one?

It could be one of several things, the browser interface, a Windows or Mac program for a PC, or a mobile Android/iThing app. Netgear labels them all as genies. Which are you using?

What are you trying to do?

How are you trying to connect to the device? Wired LAN? Wifi?

How are things wired up? Is the modem connected to the outside world?

I can't find any mention of the D6200v2 in the Netgear system. Perhaps it is a new version. So for the time being here is a link to the manual for the original D6200:

>>> D6200 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<

You might find it easier to use the browser graphical user interface to get into the device.
