AC 6220: cannot connect to 5GHz in access point mode

Hi,
I have upgraded to the latest version of the firmware today, and I still see this problem: whereas I can connect to both 2.4Ghz and 5GHz networks in the default mode (with the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet), all my devices systematically fail to connect to the 5GHz network when I switch to AP mode (leaving all the other parameters untouched). THe 2.4GHz connection still works fine.
Am I right in thinking that this is a bug?
Thanks for your help

Did you factory reset the beast after the firmware update?
Is the 5 GHz SSID broadcasting and visible?
Tried changing the wifi settings?
Is the Region correct?
There is a manual for the R6220 somewhere at the end of this link:
>>> R6220 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<
See page 119.
Remember, wifi is a two-way thing. The clients also have to play ball. Have you told them to forget the 2.4 GHz connection and set up the wifi link from scratch?

Re: AC 6220: cannot connect to 5GHz in access point mode
Thank you for your answer. What worked was to revert to factory settings after installing the new firmware (this seems weird to me). Everything works now as it should.

That is the first thing to try if you have problems after installing new firmware. Netgear sometimes includes it in the release notes.
