Ac1750/R6400 not connecting to internet

Netgear AC1750  R6400V2  not connecting to internet, all lights are white and will not allow internet access. When first opening a web page it say "You must lon in to this network before you can access the internet."When trying to login to www.routerlogin.net, it times out."

So much for plug and play!!

I have to go back to my Asus router to re-connect and post this!!

Re: Ac1750/R6400 not connecting to internet

OK, I got it fixed.

Had to unplug the MODEM for 10 minutes.  Even after that it took a while for the Genie to fix whatever issue it was having  (read alternate post that there may be Mac Address issues from previous router).

The issue WAS, the Genie said internet was 'good' but could not get to the web page 'routerlogin.net' at all!  Tried repeatedly (with Kids getting impatient).

ALL lights were on and white

OS: Windows 10

Any webpage!  Didn't matter,  would go back to routerlogin and spin...then timeout.

Did NOT have a static IP address on OLD router.

Thanks!

There are twelve LEDs on this router.  Are they _all_ white?

What feeds your router, some kind of modem?

Which "a web page" are you trying to open?

What is the OS on the computer with the web browser?  What is the IP
address of that computer when it's connected to the R6400?  For the
"routerlogin.net" stuff to work, your computer must be configured to use
DHCP (to obtain an IP address automatically).

What, exactly, is "my Asus router"?  What is the IP address of that
computer when it's connected to the "my Asus router"?  If your computer
is configured with a static IP address for the old router, and the two
routers use different subnets, then you won't be able to exchange one
router for the other unless you reconfigure the computer's network
parameters.
