Adding Devices Problem

I have been having problems with my router connecting to devices.  I read somewhere that these routers connect to 32 devices (each band).  I have many smart devices in my home that need to connect to the router.  This ends up being greater than the 32 the router allows.  Since the devices are only able to connect to the 2.4, having the dual bands doesn't help in this situation. Is there a different router or a simple device that can hold like 50ish devices instead that would be better?  With the current set up I have the devices can't all connect.  Thanks in advance for your input!

You might try adding a (cheap) wireless access point to deal with
some of the Internet-of-junk devices.
