Block inbound IP address

I have an older router R6300. I repeatedly get a message from my virus software that an intrusion attempt from a different network was allowed. How do I block that IP address

Re: Block inbound IP address

Greetings,

Your AV software should not be reporting threats being blocked by the router.  Its whole purpose is to secure your LAN from unwanted access or attack.  I suppose the software might report port probing.  If this is possible, we need more information about your environment.

What is the AV software giving this notification?

What kind of attack?

Do the router's logs correspond/confirm the date and time of the attacks reported by the AV software?

Please provide specidfic examples.
