Blue light on top of router has started flashing

I am using a PC with windows XP. I have use my wndr3400 for over a year. Yesterday the blue light on top, (WPS) started flashing. I have no idea why. Router still working fine. Do I need to upgrade or something? Thanks Wally

not really upgrade. It will just flash if somebody pushed the button.

Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) Method

It will not flash unless someone press the dome button. Also it will go back normal status after 2min.

I have another problem as no one is pushing the button. This started yesterday evening and is still blinking. It may stop for awhile but then starts blinking again.

Possible WPS exploitation

Disable the PIN in the router GUI. Refer to manual

I have disabled routers pin and restarted modem and router and light is still flashing.

Blue light is also wifi broadcast and traffic as well so you will not see flashing 100% stopsSmiley Happy

in some models pushing the dome button will disable the flashing as well but usually with multiple function on dome button you could have done some..

Anyway. flashing is a good thing... Smiley Happy
