Bridge

I have a WNDR4500 that I would like to use a Wireless Bridge. Is this possible? Due to the weak security, I cannot use it in Repeater mode.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Bridge

If you can find it in the manual then yes if not no. I say no because it's not listed in manual, or I missed it.

That depends. What do you mean by "Wireless Bridge"?

If you are referring to the WDS functionality (Wireless Repeating using WEP/54 Mbit/s), then the only other option is not encrypting the network to allow for higher link rates (450 Mbit/s on your router model).

If you are tech savvy, you could pretty quickly switch out the stock firmware for DD-WRT. That will allow you to hook the router up wirelessly to another router, encrypting the link with WPA. Smiley Happy

Re: Bridge

You can only set WNDR4500 to repeater or access point but no option for wireless bridge.

Re: Bridge

Unfortunately no.. Other options are DD-WRT if they offers.
