Is that accurate?  Not C3700v2?  Look at the product label.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.  Look for the
LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot".  Pay particular attention to the
"WiFi On/Off button with LED".  Did you press it?  (Further reading
might be helpful, too.)

thank you for your quick response. have looked at the manual, depressed the 2 second button on the back of the router. still, radios do not turn on. comcast suggests that bridge mode should be off. netgearl recommends against this.

   Still a mystery.

What, exactly, does "the 2 second button on the back of the router"
mean to you?  What does the User Manual call your "the 2 second button
on the back of the router"?  As I read the C3700 User Manual, the "WiFi
On/Off button with LED" is on the "Front Panel" of the router.

Bridge (modem-only) mode would disable all the router functions of
the C3700, including its wireless-network radios.

Huh?  "against" what?  Where, exactly, does Netgear recommend what,
exactly?
