I recently bought a new cable modem CM100 however it will not work with my existing N600 3700v3 router. When connection is made between modem and router (WAN ports), internet light on the router never lids up. Rebooted both devices multiple times with no luck. Is it an imcompatibility issue or am doing somethig wrong? I am getting 240mbps for the speed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The cm1100 has 2 ports on it.
make sure nothing but the router is connected to it.
Also, use port 1.
And make sure its activated through your isp and that they can see it.
power off both the modem and router. unplug everything from both.
power up the cm1100. give it several minutes to fully boot.
connect lan cable from cm1100 to wan port on wnr3700v3.
power the wnr3700 up. give it several minutes to fully boot.
does it work?

Re: Cable Model CM1100 and Router N600 3700v3
I performed what you suggested and everything worked fine however when I rebooted the router again, it never connects back to the internet. It seems like I must restart modem first then router in order for it too work.
