Can't connect to FTP sites outside my network
While connected to the router (WNDR3700v4), I am unable to connect to FTP sites, not sure if there is a setting that is blocking this, I have double checked service blocking, it is set to never block. Or if there is a setting I need to turn on to allow it. If I VPN to another machine outside my network I can connect to FTP sites outside my WAN. If I bypass the router I can connect to FTP sites outside my network.
Very curious...

Re: Can't connect to FTP sites outside my network
I set up my FTP settings to allow open ports, but it still blocks external connections after a bit of usage. In other words, I can connect via FTP, then a day later I cannot, and must reset the router. Is there an issue with FTP blocking. Any solutions? Netgear online and phone support is absent and unresponsive.
